Creating hands-on adventures in faith and service for the cause of Christ.

        By helping

We are all saddened by the plight of the Hatians after the devastating earthquake. Many of us feel led to go do something to help, but what? As we have heard many times on TV the best thing we can do right now is send money. Once the first responders and military have done their job we anticipate being called in to help with the rebuild efforts. However, we do not expect that to happen until mid-summer. In the mean time, we are assembling the contact information for those interested in helping when the time is right. Please click Haiti Volunteer Registry to enter your information if you are interested in being on a future team. We will keep you updated with the latest status.

There have been 107 teams to Haiti since May 2010.  The teams can get matching funds from UMCOR if they raise $3500.  Please contact Susan Meister US-Haiti Volunteer Coordinator haitivolunteers@yahoo.com

January and February of 2011 are completely booked.  Teams are limited to 10 members.  You should plan to arrive in Port-au-Prince spend the night at the Methodist Guest House then leave the next morning.  On your return you will spend the night again in Port au Prince at the Guest House before you leave the next morning.  Your UMCOR/UMVIM contact in Haiti is the Rev. Mike Willis.  Please be aware that your trip to Haiti will be both mentally and physically grueling but extremely rewarding.

When you return please contact Lee McMillan, we would love to hear of your trip experience.
